The representative of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, has clarified the rationale behind the renewed enforcement of the Motor Vehicle Tinted Glass regulation starting Thursday, October 2, 2025.
This comes after several Nigerians claimed over the weekend that the police were acting contrary to the court’s directives.
They argued that a legal action had been initiated by the Nigeria Bar Association disputing the authority of the law to impose the requirement for a tinted glass permit, asserting that since the issue remains under judicial review, the police should not proceed with the law’s enforcement as indicated.
Nevertheless, in a statement posted on his X account, Hundeyin clarified that no court has issued an order to suspend the enforcement of the law. He confirmed that the enforcement would continue as planned.
