Legal representatives for music mogul Sean Combs claim that his former partner, Cassie – Casandra Ventura, “took pleasure” in her “freak-off” interactions with male escorts.
Cassie is the sole “victim” identified in a federal indictment that was revealed in New York in September.
Combs, aged 55, was detained in Manhattan in September and faces charges of human trafficking and conspiracy. He remains in a Brooklyn correctional facility awaiting a trial scheduled for May.
Defense lawyers assert that evidence indicates Cassie “took pleasure” in her experiences with a variety of male escorts over the years.
Legal papers acquired by TMZ reveal that the videos do not depict the “elaborate and polished sex performances” as alleged by federal prosecutors in the charges.
The attorneys argued that videos uncovered on Cassie’s phone “affirm Mr. Combs’s innocence” as they illustrate intimate activity between “consenting adults.”
Court records indicate that Cassie retained the videos on her mobile device for years before providing them to the authorities. The videos were not confiscated from Combs’ residence. Combs’ defense team contends that the videos serve as evidence that Cassie was neither traumatized nor victimized. In fact, she appeared to take command of the encounters.
“Diddy’s legal team states that the tapes reveal no signs of violence, coercion, threats, manipulation, substance abuse, or excessive drinking,” TMZ reported. “There is definitely no indication of sex trafficking.”
The defense remarked that Cassie looked “joyful, commanding, and entirely in charge” of the men featured in the videos.
“These videos clearly demonstrate that the individual referred to in the indictment as ‘Victim-I’ not only gave consent but genuinely relished the experiences,” the legal filing asserts.
The attorneys mentioned that 9 videos stored on Cassie’s mobile device are labeled as “freak-off” gatherings by the prosecution. However, no other celebrities are present in the footage.
