Fans are buzzing with theories after Beyoncé decided to delay her global tour announcement on January 14, opting instead to request prayers via social media.
Sources indicate that Beyoncé was set to reveal her new world tour, but she chose to postpone the January 14 reveal “due to the destruction caused by the ongoing wildfires plaguing regions around Los Angeles.”
In a social media update, the pop icon stated that her major announcement would be pushed back to a later time.
“I keep praying for restoration and rebuilding for the families enduring trauma and loss. We are incredibly fortunate to have courageous first responders who tirelessly strive to safeguard the Los Angeles community. To assist in our efforts for those affected, please visit @BEYGOOD. With love, B.”
Beyoncé has contributed $2.5 million to families displaced by the wildfires that are still raging through Southern California.
Her fans concur that she should defer the tour given the economic climate and her husband Jay-Z’s ongoing scrutiny regarding child assault allegations.
Sources claim that Beyoncé is profoundly worried that her husband’s reputation is under siege from accusations that could potentially be unfounded. She is also troubled by the possibility that the claims might hold some truth, being perceptive enough to recognize that Jay-Z has had a history of inappropriate behavior.
In December, a woman from Alabama filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z, accusing him of drugging and assaulting her when she was just 13 years old. She included his name in a lawsuit she originally filed in October against Sean Combs.
Earlier this month, a judge granted Jay-Z the authority to submit a motion to dismiss the lawsuit. He has until February 6 to present this motion, while the plaintiff has until February 28 to file her counterarguments. Jay-Z will then have until March 14 to respond, if he chooses to do so.
Jay-Z has strongly denied the allegations. In a recent motion filed earlier this month, his attorney Alex Spiro contended that the statute of limitations regarding rape lapsed in August 2021.
