Chi Onwurah an English Nigerian lady, has been chosen as an elected member of the UK parliament after Parliamentary races on Thursday night, July 4.
Onwurah, initially from Anambra state, addressing the UK’s Work party, won the Newcastle upon Tyne Central and West voting demographic, overcoming 6 contender for the position.
She moved past 18,000 votes with her nearest challenger, Ashton Muncaster of the Change party getting 7815 votes.
