Lawal Tukur, an Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ASC), has sadly passed away after staying at a hotel with three women.He was allegedly discovered deceased in his hotel room located in Katsina, north-west Nigeria.
Details disclosed by Zagazola Makama indicated that the unfortunate event transpired on Wednesday, October 15th, at Murjani Hotel, Katsina, where the late official had checked in. Hotel personnel found the officer lifeless in his room around 8:30 a.m. and promptly raised the alarm.
Sources within the hotel revealed that several empty sachets of suspicious substances were located in the room’s waste bin. Three women, named Khadija Ali, 34, from Dutsin Amare Quarters, Katsina; Aisha Lawal, 30, from Ingawa Local Government Area; and Hafsat Yusuf, 22, from Brigade Quarters, Kano, were reported to be present at the hotel during the incident.
It was reported that Khadija and Aisha had spent the night with the deceased, while Hafsat joined them later and also stayed at the same hotel. The officer’s remains were transported to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Katsina, where a medical professional confirmed his death and the body was taken to the mortuary for an autopsy.
Zagazola further reports that the Nigeria Customs Service has been notified of the situation, and additional investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of death.
