Ego Boyo Nigerian Veteran actress has bluntly advises filmmakers who have been remaking some Nollywood old movies to stop messing with the Narrative.
In a tweet shared, Ego asked filmmakers to leave Nollywood classics alone or at least do all that need s to be done in terms of putting in work to make them worth watching.
ICYMI : Some Nollywood classics such as “Nneka the pretty serpent”, “Living in bondage ” , ” Rattlesnake and “most recently ” Glamor girls” have been re-acted by the new generation actors and actresses. But this table shaking seem to have been directed at “glamor girls” as lots of complains have come up since it’s release.
The Glamour Girls remake was indeed horrible and i felt so insulted on behalf of the original cast members. From the storyline to the cast selection to the screenplay the entire thing fell way below expectation just to say the least.
