Hollywood stars pledged to escape the United States if Donald Trump emerged victorious in the presidential election. Up to now, 2 celebrities have fulfilled their commitment.
A confidant familiar with DeGeneres revealed to TMZ that they put their California property up for sale and migrated to their new residence in the Cotswolds, England.
The insider mentioned that DeGeneres and de Rossi had purchased the Cotswolds estate in the idyllic countryside of England prior to the election. They expressed to TMZ that they felt “very disillusioned” after Trump’s election and concluded it was time “to get the hell out.”
DeGeneres, 66, and de Rossi, 51, had previously sold their Montecito, California estate for an astounding $96 million in August.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2008, reportedly informed friends that they were driven to relocate due to Donald Trump’s re-election for a second term.
DeGeneres faced blacklisting in Hollywood after former staff members of her talk show accused her of fostering a toxic work environment and bullying them.
The Ellen Show concluded in 2022, after 19 seasons on air. Sources indicate to TMZ that DeGeneres and de Rossi have no intentions of returning to the U.S.
“This is the last time you’re going to see me,” she remarked. “After my Netflix special, I’m finished.”
