A man fatally takes the life of beloved streamer Duchess Dior during a Facebook Live session after both revealed each other’s infidelity.
Famed streamer Duchess Dior, whose real name is Zaria Carr, tragically passed away on June 14 following her public allegation of her husband’s infidelity while on Facebook Live.
Local authorities in Twin City, Georgia, alongside the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office, received an alert regarding a domestic dispute at a private residence around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
When officers arrived, they discovered Dior unconscious on the kitchen floor. She was declared dead at a nearby hospital.
Shamarcus Carr, also known as The Frenchman, engaged in a heated exchange with Dior on Facebook Live about betrayal. They both accused one another of cheating, with Carr ominously warning Dior that he would kill her if she continued interrupting him on the stream.
“I gotta die about that? You revealed my stuff!” she responded during his threats. Dior claimed Carr had been unfaithful after his release from prison, while Carr countered that she had been with a friend while he was incarcerated.
At ages 36 and 27, Carr and Dior hurled insults at each other, and she grabbed his phone during the broadcast. “Give me my phone,” Carr demanded before issuing further threats.
“That’s unbelievable, y’all. I’m not willing to die over this,” Dior expressed to her viewers.
After the livestream concluded, Carr shot Dior fatally before escaping in his 2021 Dodge Challenger. He later ended his own life when police attempted to stop his vehicle in Twin City.
Dior’s followers expressed their grief over her tragic demise on social media.
One user on X commented, “This is what occurs in low-intelligence relationships.”
Another remarked, “That was disturbing. I recall my parents used to argue growing up, but never with this level of brutality.”
A third individual wrote, “He assaulted her for three hours while she was naked before this incident; she returned to him. Please seek help if you find yourself in a domestic violence situation. They will eventually harm you.”
Someone else added, “He warned her he was about to kill her multiple times; it only takes one warning for me to believe you 100%.”
Carr and Dior left behind two young children.
