Iran insists that the UN Security Council acknowledges Israel and the United States as the entities accountable for the twelve-day conflict.
This is articulated in a letter addressed to the UN Secretary-General that was released on Sunday.
“We formally urge the Security Council to recognize that the Israeli administration and the United States instigated the hostilities and consequently hold them responsible for the aftermath,” states the correspondence from Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Israel initiated its strikes against Iran on the evening of June 13, declaring the intention to halt Iran’s nuclear weapons development.
