Nigerian activist Verydarkman , has unveiled an astonishing inheritance controversy involving Access Bank and a disputed N500 million fortune. This incident could alter how Nigerians view their banks.
The matter centers around Late Mr. Edongesi Edit Hour, who died on April 17, 2019, thus igniting a storm of bewildering allegations.
In a recent broadcast, VeryDarkMan revealed that prior to his demise, Mr. Edongesi had confided in his sister Basi Edit Hour about his substantial financial resources across various Nigerian banks, including – GT Bank, Keystone Bank, & Access Bank.
VDM reported that Basi managed to access N10m from GT Bank & N2.9 million from Keystone Bank after obtaining a letter of Administration from the Kaduna High Court.
However, the principal concern now revolves around the N500m held by Access Bank.
VDM clarified that the situation escalated significantly when Access Bank unexpectedly refuted the existence of an account for the deceased , even after the Central Bank of Nigeria verified the accounts associated with Mr. Edong’s BVN, Verydarkman asserted that “Access bank” supplied incomplete records & failed to deliver a comprehensive account statement.
VDM noted that in a 2020 statement, Access Bank claimed the account had beendormant since its initiation in 2016, revealing a scant balance of 54 Kobo
The activist argues that the lack of records from 2016 to 2020 is an evident indication of potential wrongdoing.
In his address, VeryDarkMan did not solelylay blame on the bank. He urged his followers to stay vigilant & monitor their Access Bank accounts closely.
