The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has withdrawn its approval for admission into law programmes in eight universities.
A statement by the JAMB Public Relations Officer, Fabian Benjamin, indicates that the decision follows the suspension of the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme by the Legal Education Board for the 2025/2026 academic session due to breaches of regulatory procedures.
The universities in question include;
- Kwara State University, Malete, Ilorin,
- Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State,
- Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State,
- Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State.
The others are ;
- Taraba State University, Jalingo,
- Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo, Cross River State,
- Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State,
- Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.
NOTE : The Nigerian Police Academy has been banned from admitting students for two academic sessions: 2025/2026 and 2026/2027.
