Self-identified financial guru GehGeh recently imparted his perspectives on the Honest Bunch Podcast, intending to dispel certain misunderstandings and illuminate the show’s inner workings.
These perspectives arose amidst a public dispute involving social media commentator VeryDarkMan and comedian DeeOne. DeeOne’s accusations ignited fervent exchanges between the two personalities, further intensifying the controversy surrounding the Honest Bunch Podcast.
GehGeh pointed out that Nedu Wazobia, a pivotal figure on the podcast, is not its proprietor but rather a contracted presenter.
Responding to assertions that the Honest Bunch Podcast operates on a scripted basis, GehGeh rejected these claims, elucidating that the show thrives on sensationalism and contentious topics, as he perceives the average Nigerian audience tends to be more drawn to drama than to meaningful content.
In his guidance to Kokopee, GehGeh advised prudence regarding connections with VeryDarkMan, cautioning that any personal information shared could potentially be exploited in future disputes.
“When I visited that podcast, I was shocked by what I discovered, and I want to reveal that. During my visit, I noticed Nedu wasn’t the proprietor of the podcast; he was on contractual terms. He didn’t resign; he was dismissed! The day I was interviewed, the actual owner of the podcast was part of the camera crew.
“He merely hired Nedu to work there. This is why I caution business owners against aligning their brand with a single individual for an extended period. This aligns with what BBNaija is implementing with Ebuka. For everyone claiming the Honest Bunch Podcast is scripted, that is false.
“The Honest Bunch podcast leverages negativity and provocation, focusing on trivial inquiries because the average Nigerian isn’t receptive to top-notch information. My recommendation to Kokopee is to steer clear of VeryDarkMan, as he embodies the notion of ‘no permanent friends or enemies.’ Whenever conflicts arise with him, he’ll use everything you’ve confided in him against you.”
