Nigerians have criticized Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, after it was revealed that she introduced her daughter to nightlife and drinking at the youthful age of 17.
She disclosed this during a recent chat with content creator, Mr. Lilgaga. Laide expressed her enjoyment in the thought that her daughter would acknowledge her as the one who led her into the world of partying and alcohol.
She stated,
“I took my daughter to the club for the first time when she was 17. I appreciate that in her memoir, she will note me as the individual who introduced her to drinking and nightlife.”

In response to this revelation, Nigerians flocked to social media to criticize the actress for being a negative influence on her daughter.
It_hafizski commented: “Introducing a 17-year-old to drinking and nightlife is irresponsible parenting, not fun. At that age, mentorship and discipline should take precedence over clubbing.
Just_2undey asserted: “Some of these celebrities aren’t deserving of the high regard people place on them. This is coming from someone who identifies as a mother.
SamanthaIdunumi : “I know you all want to attack her, but do you realize what kids do when their parents aren’t around? It’s great she’s the one teaching her all this! I’m sure she shared both the positive and negative aspects! You’re acting like saints in this age! Even 15-year-olds are smoking.
Sturbyrich shared: “Low-key, this is normal; at least her daughter feels free to discuss anything with her. If she hadn’t taken her to the club, she would likely go by herself and might even engage in worse behavior.
Shuluemp questioned: “What type of mother prides herself on introducing her 17-year-old to drinking and clubbing?
