Peter Obi Wins Abia, Edo and Nasarawa State. [ See Results]

Peter Obi presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has been declared the winner of the presidential election in Abia, Edo and Nasarawa state.

Prof. Abel Ezeorah of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Alike-Ikwo (FUNAI), who served as the state returning officer for the presidential election, declared the results at INEC state office in Umuahia. He said that Obi scored 327,095 votes of the 381,683 total votes cast to win the election.



PDP’s Atiku Abubakar got 22,676 while APC’s Bola Tinubu polled a total of 8,914 votes to come third.

The results announced by INEC Coallation Officer in the state, Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, Obi secured a total of 331,163 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 144,471 and 89,585 votes respectively.

The results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC), collation officer in Nasarawa State, Prof. Ishaya Tanko, Obi scored 191,361 votes to defeat his closest rival, APC’s Bola Tinubu who got 172,922 votes while PDP’s Atiku Abubakar who secured 147, 093 votes.
