Diddy requested that Alex Fine, Cassie Ventura’s spouse, exit the courtroom during her testimony on Tuesday.
Cassie, Diddy’s former girlfriend, took the stand to provide evidence against him in his trial for sex trafficking and racketeering, which commenced on May 5.
If found guilty, Combs could face a 20-year prison sentence.
Prior to Cassie’s testimony, Combs’ legal team urged District Judge Arun Subramanian to prevent Cassie’s husband, Alex Fine, from being present in the courtroom while she testified.
Defense attorneys stated they wanted Alex Fine to vacate the courtroom during Cassie’s testimony as they might wish to summon him as a witness later in the trial.
The defense contends that Fine possesses pertinent information regarding an alleged assault on Cassie by Sean Combs during the fall of 2018.

Fine reportedly dispatched a text to Diddy indicating he had a desire to ‘beat the f word out of him.’
However, prosecutors maintained that Fine plays a crucial role in Cassie’s emotional support system. Cassie is currently eight months pregnant with their third child—a boy—and they are parents to two daughters.
The judge decided that Fine could stay in the courtroom, though he would not be permitted to witness all of her testimony.
