Ex- President Joe Biden Diagnosed With Advanced Prostate Cancer.

Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an “assertive” stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. Biden is 82 years old.

Medical professionals are astonished that Biden’s prostate cancer was identified after a digital rectal examination at his age.

Doctors found a lump on Biden’s prostate last week following his struggles with urination. A biopsy confirmed he has stage 4 prostate cancer with metastasis (spread) to the bone. Stage 4 prostate cancer, also referred to as metastatic prostate cancer, is the most advanced stage where cancer has disseminated to other parts of the body.

At Biden’s age, stage 4 prostate cancer is typically not curable.

Before his diagnosis, Biden received a clean bill of health during a physical examination in 2024. He was deemed “fit to serve.”

President Donald Trump shared his reaction to Biden’s cancer diagnosis on his Truth Social app.

“Melania and I are deeply saddened to learn about Joe Biden’s latest medical diagnosis,” Trump wrote. “We extend our heartfelt best wishes to Jill and the family, and we hope for Joe’s swift and successful recovery.”

Early warning indicators of prostate cancer are uncommon. The illness is generally identified during a digital rectal examination (DRE) by a physician.

When symptoms do manifest, they may include frequent urination, painful urination, weak or interrupted urine flow, difficulty initiating or halting urine flow, and blood in the urine.

Prostate cancer can be treatable if detected early. Medical progress in recent years has contributed to curing more severe cases like Biden’s.

In Biden’s situation, the objective is to manage the illness rather than to cure it. The dangers associated with aggressive treatment and the potential adverse effects of therapy surpass the advantages, according to medical experts.

Biden’s office indicated that the cancer seems to be hormone-sensitive. The primary approach would be to inhibit testosterone using a medication called Lupron, in combination with Zytiga, or chemotherapy, according to physicians.
