Seasoned actress Rita Edochie has voiced her worries about what she perceives as the surging indecency in attire at white weddings and social gatherings.
Taking to Instagram, she posted alongside a video featuring a woman dressed inappropriately at Ruby Ojiakor’s wedding.
The post stated:
“White wedding symbolizes purity, cleanliness, and godliness, but the way they are dressing so revealingly to these events these days is truly astonishing.”
In her caption, she shared her discontent with the escalating trend of scantily clad outfits among women, labeling it “a troubling trend” and questioning the implications it holds for the younger audience.
She expressed:
“What would your kids think seeing this on social media?… It’s almost better to step out of your home entirely naked to wherever you’re heading. At least then, everyone would recognize that you’re incredibly beautiful and a little off… Are mothers of four or five also dressing this way?”
Rita stressed the importance of advocating for modesty and dignity, calling on society to reassess their fashion choices, particularly with the arrival of a new month. She declared her strict stance against indecency and warned individuals to refrain from approaching her while dressed inappropriately.
