The three non-academic staff union will decide today Wednesday 23rd of August 2017 in Abuja, to decide whether or not to join the ASUU strike.
SSANU national PRO Abdulsubur Salaam said during an interview that the association have been “pushed to the wall ” by the Nigeria Government.
According to chairman ,SSANU UNIBEN comrade O.B Osewa Esq ,the issues to be discussed shall include but not limited to the following ;
- The mischevious gradual change of the concept of Earned Allowance (EA) to Earned Academic Allowance (EAA) and its implication on the non-teaching staff on the implementation table.
- Payment of percentage salaries since January 2016 ( salary shortfall)
- Non payment /implementation of promotions and arrears in some universities.
- Non implementation of staff school judgement by the national industrial court (NIC) after 9months since judgement was passed in favour of SSANU.
