The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has raised the alarm about a new way drug traffickers are using to hide illegal drugs. They are now hiding dangerous substances inside things that look like regular flight boarding passes.
This warning was shared on Sunday by Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy at NDLEA, through a post on X (formerly Twitter). Babafemi explained that officials in Lagos recently found out about this trick. The method involves putting harmful drugs, including a drug called Colos, into items that look like normal travel documents. He asked parents, guardians, and the public to watch out, especially for packages delivered by riders.
He said traffickers are using common items more and more to avoid getting caught.” These may look like ordinary flight boarding passes, but inside them are harmful substances such as Colos,” Babafemi wrote.”This is one of the new techniques used to spread illegal drugs in city areas, as found by NDLEA officers in Lagos,” he added.

He called the discovery a “wake-up call,” urging families to check the packages that are sent to their children and others under their care.”Drug dealers are getting more creative with how they pack their goods, but the NDLEA is always a step ahead,” Babafemi said.
