The Board of the Hong Kong Airport Authority has formally sanctioned the selection of Vivian Cheung Kar-fay as the forthcoming Chief Executive Officer, commencing from April 7th, 2025. This three-year tenure has been validated by the Chief Executive.
Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mable Chan, conveyed her certainty that with Cheung at the helm, the Airport Authority (AA) will strengthen the reputation of Hong Kong International Airport as a leading global aviation center while promoting the airport’s sustainable growth.
Chan pointed out several pivotal initiatives, stating, “These encompass seizing the vast possibilities presented by the Three-Runway System, evolving the airport into a preeminent Airport City, integrating with the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through improved intermodal connectivity, and fostering ongoing innovation for excellence in aviation.”
Additionally, Chan reiterated the government’s determination to work in close partnership with the AA to elevate the aviation sector to new summits.
