Roc Nation is taking a firm stance against bloggers who propose the idea that the company’s founder, JAY-Z, employed a hitman to assault rapper Tory Lanez inside a California prison.
Tory, 32, was attacked multiple times by an inmate already serving a life sentence for murder. The injured rapper was airlifted to a hospital in Bakersfield, where he was stabilized and treated for 14 stab wounds.
Tory was returned to prison last week and is currently recuperating in the infirmary. He is serving a 10-year sentence in a California prison for shooting fellow artist Megan Thee Stallion in both feet in 2020.
Megan joined Roc Nation in 2019 to manage her business dealings. She is a personal friend of founder JAY-Z and has also been under his mentorship.
JAY-Z was upset to discover that social media bloggers were attributing blame to him for Tory Lanez’s near-fatal stabbing.

Rapper Cardi B cautioned her followers against undergoing butt injections after having 95% of her own removed in 2022. Through a series of posts on Instagram, Cardi urged other women not to repeat her past errors. She described butt injections as “truly insane.”
One X user shared screenshots of a removal notice for a post made alleging that Roc Nation orchestrated Tory Lanez’s stabbing last week.
The user commented: “I posted on Instagram about Diseree and Roc Nation being involved in Tory Lanez’s stabbing, and their legal team intervened to have the post removed.”
The user should consider themselves fortunate that they only faced a takedown notice and not legal action for their irresponsible claims.
One X user remarked: “So you fabricated a story and they called you out. Okay, what’s new? SATAN, YOU ARE CONSTANTLY LYING AND PROPAGATING FALSE NARRATIVES.”
Another user added: “In fact, you should be prosecuted for such ludicrous accusations. You deserve to be imprisoned.”
