Media figure Solomon Buchi has articulated the belief that the ideas of dating and the talking phase should be banned, as they lack a biblical basis.
In a video shared on his social media platform, Solomon Buchi reinforced his stance by citing scripture.
He pointed out that men during biblical times were deliberate in their quest for marriage. According to him, no man in the scriptures entered a talking phase with a woman before marrying her.
“Where in the scriptures have you come across someone saying I want to get to know your daughter. I wish to enter into a talking phase with your daughter. Men were very purposeful. They acted with intent – I want to marry you.”
Solomon also commented that one of the major problems confronting society today is the custom of dating, claiming that people have complicated relationships unnecessarily.
