The White House has reiterated its warning to the government of Iran that it stands before two paths: either a military clash or a negotiated resolution regarding its nuclear endeavors. This alert came shortly after Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei dismissed a U.S. offer for direct negotiations.
White House National Security Council representative Brian Hughes reinforced the administration’s stance on March 9, declaring: “We hope the Iranian leadership prioritizes its citizens and genuine interests over terrorism.
” He echoed U.S. President Donald Trump’s assertion that military intervention remains a possibility: “If we are compelled to act militarily, it will be a grave situation.”

ICYMI : KHAMENEI’S DISMISSAL OF U.S NEGOTIATION
On the afternoon of March 8, 2025, the supreme leader of the Iranian regime, Ali Khamenei, openly reacted to the U.S. president’s letter suggesting talks, which had been made public the previous day. Khamenei dismissed the proposal.
Khamenei stated:
“Certain domineering nations are adamant about negotiations. Their discussions aim not to resolve issues but to impose their will. For them, negotiation is merely a strategy to introduce additional demands; it’s not solely about the nuclear matter they currently discuss. They bring forth new expectations that Iran will undoubtedly refuse.”
He characterized the new demands outlined in the proposed talks as pertaining to “the nation’s defense capabilities” (referring to the regime’s missile initiative) and “the nation’s global influence” (referring to the regime’s proxy groups and initiatives to spread terrorism and fundamentalism), further adding: They claim, “Refrain from this, do not engage with so-and-so, avoid that location, do not manufacture that, your missile’s range must not exceed that. Negotiation revolves around these matters.”
