South African Teen Arrested For Beating his 82-year-old Grandma. [Video]

A South African teenager has been arrested by the Police in Kraaifontein, Western Cape region of South Africa  for the supposed attack of his 82-year-old grandma.

The 19-year-old was captured on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, after the upsetting video which shows the retired person being beaten turned into a web sensation via virtual entertainment.

The upsetting episode, which happened a month prior, has incited boundless shock and prompted quick activity by the specialists.

In the video, the grandson is seen attacking the grandma with his open arm, prompting a pot containing what has all the earmarks of being porridge, gushing out.

The grandson beats the grandma so hard that she drops to the floor.

The person in question, an occupant of Wallacedene in Kraaifontein, was found getting treatment in the medical clinic for a sickness irrelevant to the attack.

Notwithstanding the grandma’s refusal to present a proclamation, police examinations revealed that the attack occurred in June at the casualty’s home.

At first, when the South African Police Administration (SAPS) was called to the scene, the family chose to deal with the matter secretly and declined police mediation.

Colonel Andrè Traut, representative for the Western Cape SAPS, said the seriousness of the episode which became obvious when the video started spreading on the web, constrained SAPS to open a case agenda for the person in question.

He expressed that on Wednesday night, the 19-year-old suspect, who is the grandson of the person in question, was captured at his Wallacedene home.

He is set to show up in Blue Downs Officers Court once officially charged.

“Violations against ladies and kids are a first concern for SAPS, and we won’t choose to disregard any type of savagery in such manner,” said Traut.

The occurrence has ignited critical conversation via online platforms with netizens communicating both shock and worry for old maltreatment.
